Senior Manager of Accounting

Job Summary

To enhance the Accounting & Finance function, the full-time Senior Manager of Accounting will manage technical accounting leadership, oversee payroll processes, and drive process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical accounting resource, managing complex accounting judgments and preparing technical memos
• Oversee the payroll function, ensuring compliance and accuracy in processing across multiple states
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency within the accounting department

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including technical accounting and close processes
• Prior experience in public accounting and an industry accounting role
• Strong command of US GAAP, particularly in revenue recognition and consolidations
• Demonstrated experience managing payroll functions with multi-state compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with mid-to-enterprise ERP systems
