Senior Manager of Commission Accounting

Job Summary

Leading the end-to-end accounting and operational oversight of sales commission programs, the full-time remote Senior Manager of Commission Accounting will manage cross-functional partnerships, optimize systems and processes, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 while developing a team of accounting professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with various departments to operationalize compensation plans and address commission inquiries
• Oversee the monthly and quarterly commission accounting process, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting
• Lead and develop a team of commission accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture

Required qualifications

• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in commission accounting within a SaaS environment
• 3+ years of people management experience, including team development
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and commission capitalization and amortization
• Experience with incentive compensation management tools such as Xactly or CaptivateIQ
• Demonstrated project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives
