Senior Manager of Cost Accounting

Job Summary

Providing strategic financial and analytical leadership, the full-time Senior Manager of Cost Accounting will oversee cost accounting activities, ensure accuracy in profitability analytics, and support executive decision-making in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Leads enterprise cost accounting activities and integrates new organizations into the clinical cost accounting framework
• Serves as the subject matter expert in healthcare costing methodologies and designs initiatives for profitability analytics
• Conducts root-cause analysis of cost and profitability variances, translating findings into actionable recommendations for leadership

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Seven or more years of progressive experience in healthcare finance, cost accounting, or related fields
• Knowledge of healthcare cost accounting methodologies and reimbursement structures
• Experience with financial modeling and variance analysis techniques in a healthcare setting
• Ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
