Job Summary
To enhance player engagement and experience, the full-time remote Senior Manager of Player Experience will lead user research initiatives, manage a small team, and collaborate with various departments to ensure products meet the needs of real players across the globe.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth user research by observing real players and gathering insights to improve product flows
- Close the feedback loop by identifying friction points, implementing solutions, and verifying improvements through user observation
- Advocate for diverse player experiences, ensuring all user segments are represented and considered in product development
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in user research, product discovery, or design that has led to tangible product changes
- Strong ability to conduct qualitative research and synthesize findings into actionable insights
- Familiarity with AI tools for analyzing user research and generating prototypes
- Experience managing or mentoring a small team, demonstrating leadership through personal contributions
- Deep passion for chess and understanding of the player journey from novice to community member
