Senior Manager of Stop-Loss Operations

Job Summary

Leading the stop-loss operations function, the full-time Senior Manager of Stop-Loss Operations will ensure accuracy and compliance across policy setup, renewals, and claims reimbursement while integrating multiple sub-teams into a consistent operating model in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end stop-loss operations, including policy setup, filings, renewals, and claims reimbursement submissions
• Integrate various stop-loss sub-teams into a unified operating model, enhancing workflows and quality standards
• Design and enforce controls to achieve zero processing errors and ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive stop-loss experience at a TPA, carrier, MGU, or reinsurer, with direct management of a stop-loss operations team
• Proven ability to manage relationships with stop-loss carriers and MGUs, including handling escalations and renewals
• Experience in integrating teams from different legacy systems and workflows
• In-depth knowledge of stop-loss policy mechanics and claims reimbursement processes
• Strong partnership skills to collaborate effectively with client-facing teams
