Senior Manager, Revenue Cycle Management

Job Summary

To stabilize and design scalable processes, the full-time Senior Manager, Revenue Cycle Management will manage payer-specific denial management, accounts receivable follow-up, and collections while leading a team in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain monitoring of claim acknowledgment transactions and implement tracking for unacknowledged claims
• Own the accounts receivable aging report, driving systematic reduction of over-180-day AR balances through targeted follow-up and appeals
• Build and manage a structured denial work queue, analyzing trends to implement controls and prioritize resolution of high-value denials

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of revenue cycle management experience focusing on AR management, denial management, and collections
• Deep expertise in payer-specific denial reason codes, appeal processes, and timely filing requirements across major commercial payers
• Demonstrated experience in reducing AR aging and improving denial overturn rates in a complex payer environment
• Experience with Athena Health or comparable practice management systems, specifically in AR follow-up and denial management workflows
• Proven ability to build and lead a collections and denial management team
