Senior Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a team of approximately 10 engineers, the remote Senior Manager, Site Reliability Engineering will oversee day-to-day operations and strategic direction, focusing on enhancing infrastructure reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency while fostering proactive collaboration with product engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the SRE team, managing hiring, retention, and performance across multiple time zones
• Establish strategic partnerships with product engineering to shift SRE from reactive support to proactive co-ownership of reliability outcomes
• Manage cloud cost and FinOps practices, ensuring a balance between cost control and performance

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience managing an SRE team and 10+ years in SRE or infrastructure engineering
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, GCP, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, PostgreSQL, and Prometheus/Grafana
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go, including experience with AI coding tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a background in improving developer tooling and automation
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple time zones and develop engineers into strong contributors
