Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead backend service re-platforming and ensure operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance in Java development, database schema design, and systems architecture
• Lead the re-architecture and migration of backend services to modern cloud-native infrastructure while ensuring 24/7 service availability
• Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend/software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a management role
• Proven success in leading large-scale re-platforming or modernization initiatives in production environments
• Deep expertise in Java, distributed systems, microservices, and API design
• Strong experience with database schema design and cloud-native services
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
