Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a team in a remote environment, the full-time Senior Manager, Software Engineering will oversee the development and operation of high-performance cloud services for real-time voice authentication and identity verification, focusing on operational excellence and system stability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering ownership and clear growth paths
• Translate product and engineering strategy into a technical roadmap and execution plan for the Authentication area
• Improve the reliability and scalability of cloud-native, API-based distributed systems powering customer-facing authentication journeys

Required qualifications

• 8-12+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on distributed backend systems and APIs
• 3-5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing teams through senior technical leads
• Strong technical depth in cloud-native architecture and modern engineering practices across AWS and/or GCP
• Proven experience in enhancing reliability and execution for high-availability systems
• Hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Go and/or Python, along with service design for low-latency systems
