Senior Managing Director of Organizing

Job Summary

To support Black Liberation and climate justice initiatives, the full-time Senior Managing Director of Organizing will provide strategic oversight and leadership within the organization, fostering collaboration across departments and supervising senior programmatic leaders in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve on the Executive Leadership Team to develop mission, vision, and organizational strategy
• Provide executive leadership for the organizing function, ensuring alignment with community-centered goals and innovative engagement models
• Supervise senior programmatic leaders, maintaining accountability for departmental impact and fostering a culture centered on Black Liberation and Just Transition

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of senior management experience in a social justice nonprofit with supervisory responsibilities
• Deep commitment to Black Liberation, Gender Justice, Climate Justice, and Just Transition
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and inspire leadership capacity among team members
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with a focus on equity and justice
• Exceptional writing skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
