Job Summary
Detail-oriented and strategic, the remote Senior Manufacturing Cost Analyst will manage financial operations related to manufacturing costing, inventory management, COGS, warranty expenses, and freight analysis while collaborating with production, finance, and supply chain teams to optimize cost-efficiency and support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee inventory valuation and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and implementing cost accounting methods
- Analyze COGS, monitor variances, and collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate tracking of cost drivers
- Prepare and present reports on manufacturing costs and inventory performance, assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
Required Qualifications:
- Certificate/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA, CMA, or similar certification is an asset
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in warranty cost management, freight cost analysis, and inventory management
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and proficiency in ERP systems (IFS preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to drive insights from financial data
