Senior Marine Engineer

Job Summary

Experienced in Navy sustainment and modernization, the full-time Senior Marine Engineer will conduct technical analyses, develop test plans, and provide engineering support for ship systems in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze reliability, maintainability, and availability data for ship systems' sustainment and modernization
• Develop and implement test and evaluation plans, as well as science and technology efforts for HM&E and C5I systems
• Provide senior-level guidance to contractor team members and conduct in-service ship design reviews and engineering activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of professional experience supporting the US Navy or Shipyard
• Experience with Navy Ship programs and engineering changes to Navy ships
• Familiarity with ship lifecycle sustainment and modernization principles
• Active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance or ability to obtain one
