Senior Marine Underwriter
Job Summary
Seeking a strategic Senior Marine Underwriter to drive profitable growth across a marine portfolio in a fully remote position, where the candidate will underwrite new and renewal business, manage broker relationships, and influence product innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite profitable new and renewal business
- Build and manage relationships with assigned agents
- Review policy servicing requests and inspection reports to ensure appropriate actions are taken
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial marine underwriting or similar experience
- Product knowledge of marine general liability, hull/P&I, excess, and marine property products
- Regional marine market knowledge; national marine market knowledge is a plus
- Ability to use company automation, including Microsoft Products
