Senior Marine Underwriter Director

Job Summary

Driving profitable growth across the marine portfolio, the fully remote Senior Marine Underwriter Director will manage underwriting strategy, expand distribution relationships, and optimize portfolio performance while mentoring junior talent.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage a profitable book of marine business, exercising advanced underwriting authority and pricing strategy
• Develop and execute a strategic broker/agency growth plan while cultivating relationships with key producers
• Lead new product/program development and monitor market trends to recommend strategic adjustments for growth

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance designation (CPCU, ARM, etc. preferred)
• 5+ years of commercial marine underwriting experience or closely related field
• Strong technical expertise in Marine General Liability, Hull & P&I, and Excess/Umbrella
• Proven success in building broker relationships and driving production
• Deep understanding of regional and/or national marine insurance markets
