Senior Material Researcher

Job Summary

Bringing deep material expertise to a hybrid role, the full-time Senior Material Researcher will manage complex material questions, enhance product representation in the catalog, and lead new category onboarding while being based in either South Florida or Boston.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex material and product inquiries, providing expert judgment and high-value enrichment
• Review and resolve ambiguities in brand and product updates to enhance catalog usability
• Research emerging materials and standards, translating findings into practical recommendations for catalog improvements

Required qualifications

• Deep expertise in architectural materials, building products, or materials research
• Ability to research and analyze incomplete or conflicting information to reach defensible conclusions
• Understanding of how designers and architects evaluate and specify materials
• Experience with catalog systems and product data management
• Strong writing skills to document decision-making processes and evidence
