Senior Materials Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Materials and Process Engineer, Space.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain material and process standards and create comprehensive technical documentation
• Design and conduct testing to establish materials performance properties and manage relationships with test laboratories
• Develop and manage contamination budgets and implement contamination controls in assembly and test environments

Required Qualifications

• BS in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with space hardware materials, processes, and contamination control
• Familiarity with cleanroom classification levels and spacecraft contamination control standards
• Proven experience establishing technical standards or specifications for hardware programs
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance
