Senior Math Libraries Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Math Libraries Engineer specializing in Dense Linear Algebra.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable high-performance numerical dense linear algebra software on GPUs
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to library engineers, QA engineers, and interns on projects
- Collaborating with product management and partners to understand feature and performance requirements and contributing to technical roadmaps
Required Qualifications
- PhD or MSc degree in Computational Science and Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing high-performance numerical linear algebra software using C++ and parallel programming
- Strong fundamentals in numerical methods, including computational linear algebra and methods for eigenvalue and singular value decompositions
- Experience developing dense linear algebra libraries such as BLAS and LAPACK, and their parallel counterparts
- Good knowledge of CPU and/or GPU hardware architecture is a plus
