Job Summary
Joining a dynamic team, the full-time Senior Math Libraries Engineer will design, implement, and optimize direct sparse solvers for GPU architectures while collaborating with library engineers and product management in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize direct sparse solvers for existing and future GPU architectures
- Collaborate with library engineers, QA engineers, and interns on all aspects of library development from design to release
- Identify and implement improvements to library quality, performance, and maintainability for sparse linear algebra libraries
Required qualifications
- PhD or MSc degree in Computer Science, Computational Science and Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience developing, debugging, and optimizing high-performance numerical software using C++ and parallel programming
- Strong fundamentals in floating-point arithmetic, numerical analysis, and implementation of sparse linear algebra primitives
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and testing scientific computing libraries
- Strong collaboration and documentation habits
