Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the integration of aircraft structures and systems, the remote Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will manage design architecture, manufacturing integration, and engineering change management while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead conceptual layouts and integration solutions for aircraft structures and systems
- Prepare structural and systems layouts, installation drawings, and detailed engineering drawings
- Coordinate technical integration across various engineering disciplines and support manufacturing issue resolution
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of aerospace engineering experience involving aircraft structures or systems integration
- Proficiency with CATIA V5 or Siemens NX
- Experience designing primary and secondary airframe structures and systems installations
- Knowledge of CAR, FAR, or CS certification requirements and compliance processes
