Senior Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer for the Data Center and Mission Critical team, offering a remote work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing Heat Rejection and HVAC systems tailored for data centers, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with industry standards
• Selecting appropriate cooling systems for data centers based on specific requirements and equipment criticality
• Conducting Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to optimize airflow distribution and ensure efficient cooling throughout the data center

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education
• Experience in data center mechanical and electrical equipment installation and operation
• Preferred bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC engineering, or a related field; master's degree is advantageous
• Knowledge of data center standards such as Uptime Institute, TIA 942, and ANSI/BICSI 002
• Professional certifications related to HVAC engineering, such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED accreditation, are preferred
