Senior Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer for Data Centers, working remotely in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design Heat Rejection and HVAC systems tailored for data centers, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Select appropriate cooling systems and conduct internal and external CFD analysis to optimize airflow and cooling efficiency
• Design HVAC systems with redundancy and fault tolerance, perform heat load calculations, and implement energy-efficient strategies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
• Experience in data center mechanical and electrical equipment installation and operation
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; master's degree or advanced coursework is advantageous
• Knowledge of data center standards such as Uptime Institute and TIA 942
• Professional certifications in HVAC engineering or P.E. registration are preferred
