Senior Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

To support ongoing engineering projects in a fast-paced environment, the full-time remote Senior Mechanical Designer will perform end-to-end mechanical design activities, including concept development, mechanism design, and creating high-quality engineering drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end mechanical design activities, focusing on mechanisms, welded structures, and sheet metal design
• Develop designs that meet performance, manufacturability, and quality requirements while creating accurate engineering drawings with proper GD&T
• Communicate critical features, tolerances, and notes effectively to ensure clarity in technical documentation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience
• Strong experience in mechanisms, welded structures, and drafting manufacturing drawings from 3D models
• Proficiency in PTC Creo and Windchill for data management
• Experience with GD&T and model-driven design practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment with strong customer-facing skills
