Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of advanced nuclear reactor technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design equipment and reactor components based on input from engineering and project teams
• Develop documentation for component testing and analysis
• Conduct mechanical analyses using FEA tools like ANSYS

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field (advanced degrees a plus)
• 5+ years of mechanical equipment/component design experience
• Experience with SolidWorks and 3D CAD design tools
• Strong background in FEA, stress analysis, and mechanical calculations (preferably with ANSYS)
• Familiarity with ASME BPVC Section III or VIII, and seismic analysis standards (ASCE 4/7/43) is highly desirable
