Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership in the development of Mechanical Circulatory Support devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Specify, design, verify, and validate mechanical components and subsystems for LVADs according to regulatory standards
• Apply empirical and experimental analysis to optimize designs for performance and manufacturability
• Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product robustness

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, with at least 1 year in the medical device industry
• Experience with test method development and execution using INSTRON or similar testers
• Proficiency in CAD design and drawing skills, including GD&T
