Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary
To support ongoing projects, the contract Senior Mechanical Engineer will design reactor structures and components from concept through final design while working remotely and collaborating with various engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design reactor structures and components, ensuring compliance with engineering and project requirements
- Perform scoping calculations and engineering analyses to inform design decisions
- Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of equipment/component design experience (M.S. may count toward experience)
- Working experience with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), preferably using ANSYS
