Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and testing of mechanical systems, the full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer will manage projects related to the development of rotating electrical machines and electronics packaging for aerospace applications while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Leads thermal, structural, dynamic, and fluid flow analysis for electronics equipment
• Models mechanical devices, performs stress and fatigue analysis, and develops mechanical drawings
• Manages mid-size development projects and coordinates activities of team members

Required qualifications

• 8-12 years of relevant technical experience in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 5 years in production for rotating electrical machines
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS for mechanical modeling and analysis
• Experience with thermal management solutions and bonding techniques for extreme conditions
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-961D standards for developing subsystem specifications
• MS degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
