Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Owning hardware development across the full product lifecycle, the full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and integrate mechanical systems for advanced aerospace platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, analysis, and integration of mechanical systems, including avionics packaging and structures
• Manage mechanical engineering deliverables from concept through production and field support, focusing on execution and delivery
• Provide hands-on technical support during testing and field operations, troubleshooting and implementing design fixes under tight timelines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution
• 5-6 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in aerospace or related ruggedized hardware systems
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or similar) with the ability to create detailed drawings and GD&T-compliant documentation
• Strong foundation in structural design, material selection, and manufacturing processes
• Experience performing engineering calculations to validate design integrity
