Senior Mechanical Engineer (WA Licensed)

Job Summary

Senior Mechanical Engineer (WA Licensed), a contract position requiring a strong background in vessel design and ASME Section III nuclear design, responsible for creating design solutions and ensuring compliance with nuclear codes while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design, analysis, and documentation for ASME Section III Class HB and/or Section VIII division 2 vessels
• Develop and maintain design specifications, calculations, and qualification reports in compliance with relevant codes and standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with regulatory bodies to support audits and design reviews

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• Minimum of six years of equipment/component design experience or ten years for level 11; relevant M.S. degree credited as two years of experience
• Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III and/or VIII division 2
• Familiarity with finite element stress analysis and mechanical analysis tools, particularly ANSYS
• Proficiency in CAD, with SolidWorks preferred
