Senior Mechanical Engineer (WA Licensed)

Job Summary

To support the design development of reactor structures and components, the contract Senior Mechanical Engineer (WA Licensed) will work remotely, focusing on creating design solutions, preparing design specifications, and ensuring compliance with ASME Section III requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed design, analysis, and documentation for ASME Section III Class HB and Section VIII division 2 vessels
• Develop and maintain design specifications, calculations, and qualification reports in compliance with nuclear codes and standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define design requirements and resolve technical issues

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• Minimum of six years of equipment/component design experience, or ten years with relevant M.S. degree credited as two years of experience
• Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III and/or VIII division 2
• Proficiency in finite element stress analysis and mechanical analysis methods, particularly using ANSYS
• Familiarity with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
