Senior Mechanical Estimator

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Estimator, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting mechanical cost estimates, managing commercial aspects of complex Mechanical Building Services, and providing strategic advice to clients in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on vendor prequalification, assess proposals and bids, and manage the appointment process
• Evaluate contractor tenders and prepare commercial recommendations, including validating change orders and compensation events
• Manage and present estimates for complicated change orders and assist with change management in fast-track environments

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and/or estimating within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management for medium to large projects
• RICS accreditation or progress towards it is valuable
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with construction industry technical matters, such as procurement routes and value engineering
