Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the expert on billing codes and code-edit-related content for product development
• Analyze and apply coding guidelines to ensure compliance and reimbursement accuracy
• Review medical records for accurate coding and maintain knowledge of coding methodologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or AA degree with at least 10 years of medical coding experience
• Coding and/or fraud investigation certifications preferred (e.g., CPC, CCS, CFE, CPMA, AHFI)
• Experience with healthcare data protection policies and regulations, including HIPAA
• Knowledge of claims adjudication and payment integrity processes
• Familiarity with medical coding tools and claims data formats
