Senior Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform coding and coding auditing services for medical and clinical diagnoses, procedures, and illnesses
• Identify solutions to non-standard requests and solve moderately complex problems
• Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet established objectives, potentially coordinating the activities of other team members

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Coding Credential (RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-A, or equivalent)
• Extensive work experience in the coding function
• Ability to work independently and act as a resource for others
• Experience in analyzing and translating medical diagnoses into numerical codes
