Senior Medical Coder (CPC)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent review of coding rules to ensure accurate CPT and E/M coding for optimal reimbursement
• Utilize medical coding software and resources to identify appropriate medical codes and manage coding edits or denials
• Educate and mentor others to improve medical coding quality and maintain productivity standards

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• Coding Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, RHIT, CCS)
• 3+ years of coding experience in a healthcare setting
• Intermediate knowledge of revenue cycle and coding classification guidelines (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS)
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
