Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze complex billing for medical appropriateness and compliance
Assist in daily operations and provide education for coders and clinical staff
Monitor coding practices and collaborate with teams to enhance coding protocols

Required Qualifications

Current coding certification through AHIMA or AAPC, or a medical license (RN or MD)
7+ years of experience in a clinically related field, including coding and auditing
Extensive knowledge of hospital billing, claims data, and international coding standards
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with international billing platforms
Ability to develop educational materials and mentor staff in coding practices
