Senior Medical Collector

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Medical Collector will apply collection practices to ensure accurate patient demographic information and timely billing and collection from patients and insurance providers.

Key responsibilities

• Contact various payers and patients to collect on outstanding accounts while tracking all communications
• Identify and report patterns of patient and insurance concerns to supervising staff
• Coordinate the resolution of patient accounts and verify demographic and insurance information

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
• Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered
