Senior Medical Collector

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Medical Collector will apply collection practices to ensure accurate patient demographic information and timely billing while collaborating with patients, insurance companies, and physician offices to resolve issues and maximize reimbursements.

Key responsibilities

• Contact various payers and patients to collect on outstanding accounts and track all communications
• Identify patterns of patient and insurance concerns, reporting findings to supervising staff
• Coordinate the resolution of patient accounts while verifying demographic and insurance information

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
• Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered
