Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development

Job Summary

Leading early clinical development strategies, the full-time Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development will shape and execute plans for clinical trials, oversee Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies, and provide scientific leadership while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute clinical development plans for assigned assets, focusing on proof of mechanism and clinical proof of concept
• Lead clinical contributions to regulatory submissions and collaborate with research teams on innovative study designs
• Provide mentorship and leadership within the Early Clinical Development team, including managing junior Medical Directors

Required Qualifications:

• MD or equivalent medical degree with substantial experience in early clinical development
• Expertise in clinical trial design and execution, particularly in Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies
• Strong background in translational research and biomarker strategy
• Experience with regulatory submissions, including pre-IND and IND processes
• Proven leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff
