Senior Medical Director in Safety

Job Summary

Senior Medical Director in Safety is a full-time position responsible for managing medical safety experts, ensuring patient safety in drug development, and driving innovative safety approaches while leading regulatory interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safety signal prediction, detection, evaluation, and risk management activities
• Develop and implement proactive pharmacovigilance strategies and risk management plans
• Provide medical guidance to Safety Science staff and mentor junior safety physicians

Required Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical qualification (active license to practice preferable but not required)
• 8-10+ years of pharmaceutical industry pharmacovigilance experience
• Experience with regulatory authority interactions
• Expert knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations
• Strong leadership skills with managerial experience in a matrix environment
