Senior Medical Director - Italy

Job Summary

Serving as the foundational medical leader for Rett syndrome in Italy, the full-time Senior Medical Director will design and execute the pre-launch and launch medical strategy for a first commercial product, collaborating closely with country medical staff and managing relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and patient advocacy groups in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own the Italian medical strategy for Rett syndrome, including budget responsibilities
• Design and coordinate medical initiatives aligned with launch readiness and execute disease-education programs
• Engage with KOLs and patient advocacy groups to enhance the company's medical presence and credibility

Required Qualifications

• MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree in life sciences
• 10+ years in Medical Affairs or related roles within biotech or pharmaceutical companies
• Experience in pre-launch and launch medical activities, preferably in rare diseases
• Deep understanding of the Italian healthcare system and national rare disease networks
• Strong experience in neurology or neurodevelopmental disorders is preferred
