Senior Medical Director, Rheumatology

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated Senior Medical Director, Rheumatology for a full-time remote position, who will provide medical leadership and oversight across all phases of development, manage clinical studies, and engage with clients and stakeholders to shape clinical strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-level medical expertise and oversight for clinical trials in rheumatology
• Engage in business development efforts by collaborating with clients and internal teams to shape medical strategies
• Oversee medical monitoring activities, ensuring quality and timely deliverables across projects

Required qualifications

• MD Degree with Board Certification in Internal Medicine
• Specialization in Rheumatology and experience in autoimmune diseases
• 3+ years of experience in drug development and clinical research within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry
• Preferred expertise in cell and gene therapy related to autoimmune diseases
• Strong scientific communication skills and client-facing capabilities
