Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Editor.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs all levels of editing, including copyediting, substantive editing, fact-checking, proofreading, styling, and layout review
• Acts as lead editor for product accounts, maintaining style guides and ensuring compliance with the latest ISI and PI
• Identifies copyrighted material for reproduction and processes permission requests

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (minimum), preferably in English, communications, journalism, or health sciences
• 5+ years of professional medical/science editing experience
• Healthcare publications experience is preferred
• Thorough understanding of grammar rules and medical terminology
• Proficiency with standard software: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat
