Senior Medical Editor

Job Summary

Seeking a meticulous Senior Medical Editor, this remote position will focus on editing a variety of scientific materials, conducting thorough proofreading, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely project delivery while adhering to style guides.

Key responsibilities

• Edit diverse scientific materials, including manuscripts, slide decks, and digital content, following relevant style guides
• Conduct detailed proofreading of typeset layouts, figure redraws, and journal proofs
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and budgets, while creating and updating account-specific style guides

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, English, or a related field
• 3-5 years of copy-editing experience in healthcare communications or journal publishing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong command of English and knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and AMA 11th edition style
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills
