Senior Medical Writer

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic Publications and Medical Affairs team, the full-time remote Senior Medical Writer will lead the planning and development of clinical and scientific communication materials, including manuscripts and presentations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior writers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the writing and development of peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and other scientific materials in alignment with client objectives
• Collaborate with authors and key opinion leaders to ensure accuracy and adherence to publication guidelines
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring compliance with ethical publication standards and client satisfaction

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in developing scientific and medical content for the biopharmaceutical industry
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline; advanced degree (PhD, PharmD) preferred
• Strong understanding of clinical research design and ethical publication standards
• Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and project management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and familiarity with Smart Sheet and InDesign is a plus
