Senior Medical Writer, Oncology

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Medical Writer, Oncology will author and edit high-quality medical writing deliverables across all phases of clinical research while managing client expectations and mentoring less experienced writers.

Key responsibilities

• Authors and edits a variety of medical writing deliverables, including protocols, study reports, and regulatory documents
• Manages client interactions, leads team meetings, and ensures timely completion of deliverables within budget
• Supervises and mentors junior medical writers, coordinating quality control reviews and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a medical or scientific discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in writing clinical and/or regulatory documents for drugs, biologics, or medical devices
• Advanced knowledge of clinical research principles and regulatory submission processes
• Proficiency in MS Word, including the ability to create tables, graphs, and figures
• Strong project management skills and experience in relationship building with clients
