Senior ML Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Auto Tagger team, the full-time Senior ML Engineer will architect distributed data pipelines for processing multi-sensor logs, develop advanced event tagging algorithms, and ensure standardized data structuring for autonomous vehicle applications while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and optimize distributed data pipelines to process massive multi-sensor logs, extracting safety-critical driving events
• Develop and tune heuristic-based and ML-assisted algorithms for classifying complex environmental and behavioral scenarios
• Manage the ingestion of tagged events into the observations database for high-speed querying and retrieval for ML training and validation

Required qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a STEM field, with 6+ years in data engineering, ML systems, or autonomous data curation
• Strong Python and SQL skills with experience in processing massive time-series or unstructured datasets
• Hands-on machine learning and dataset curation experience that improves downstream model performance
• Experience using Databricks or similar platforms for large-scale analytics and querying
• Expertise in distributed compute frameworks and cloud platforms for executing heavy data workloads
