Senior Mobile Developer

Job Summary

As the first engineering hire, the full-time Senior Mobile Developer will architect, build, and scale a cross-platform mobile app for an e-commerce platform, leading technical decisions and mentoring future engineers in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop the mobile app using React Native for both iOS and Android
• Design and implement backend services and APIs, including real-time features and data pipelines
• Set up and manage cloud infrastructure and integrate third-party services for e-commerce functionalities

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in mobile app development using React Native or similar technologies
• Proven experience architecting and shipping full mobile products, preferably as a technical lead
• Deep backend expertise in Node.js, Python, or Go, with experience in scalable APIs and microservices
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Firebase) and database design at scale
• Understanding of app store submission processes and mobile performance optimization best practices
