Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Integrated Healthcare Transformation initiative within the Veterans Health Administration, the full-time Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer will design, develop, and execute complex simulations to model healthcare workflows and system architectures while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead coordination with stakeholders to define simulation goals and identify key performance variables
• Design and execute multi-system simulations to evaluate healthcare technology solutions
• Analyze simulation data to identify system bottlenecks and optimize healthcare delivery systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in modeling and simulation engineering
• Experience supporting the Veterans Health Administration or Department of Defense in a modeling and simulation capacity
• Proficiency in simulation languages and tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or AnyLogic
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
