Senior Mortgage Collections Counselor

Job Summary

Senior Mortgage Collections Counselor is a full-time position responsible for collecting on loans that are 30 or more days delinquent, counseling borrowers on loss mitigation options, and minimizing defaults and foreclosures.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent customers to collect payments and reestablish payment patterns
• Negotiate payment schedules and approve short-term repayment plans to avoid foreclosure
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and assist borrowers with financial packages

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in mortgage loan servicing is desired
• Previous experience in collections and/or default servicing is desired
