Senior Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and verify borrower documentation, assess loan risk, and render credit decisions according to guidelines
• Review mortgage applications and issue approvals, suspensions, or denials within lending authority
• Serve as a resource for loan originators regarding guideline interpretation and income analysis

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of Mortgage Underwriting experience
• Experience underwriting Conventional, Portfolio, and Non-QM products
• 5 years of experience with Encompass software
• Expertise in underwriting Non-QM and Agency products
• Strong income analysis skills, including for complex and self-employed borrowers
