Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Mortgage Underwriter I.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze borrowers' credit, income, assets, and capacity to ensure creditworthiness
Review complex tax returns, income calculations, and appraisals
Mentor and train new hires while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines

Required Qualifications

5+ years of conventional mortgage underwriting experience
3+ years of FHA DE underwriting experience
Deep knowledge of Fannie Mae/DU, Freddie Mac/LPA, and FHA guidelines
Understanding of relevant mortgage industry federal regulations
Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent
